Prior to joining Baxter Harder, Ricky was an associate at the firm of Bryant Emerson in Redmond and worked for years as a public defender at Crabtree and Rahmsdorff. Over the course of his legal career, Ricky has handled the full spectrum of both criminal and family law cases, including Ballot Measure 11 matters, DUIs, drug possessions, divorces, high-conflict custody cases, restraining orders, and many others.
Ricky was born and raised in Central Oregon and graduated as valedictorian of his class in LaPine, OR. After high school, Ricky accepted a Presidential Scholarship from the University of Oregon in order to gain an education that would allow him to return to Bend, Oregon, and give back to the community he grew up in.
When Ricky’s not at the office, you’ll likely find him in his garage working on the same 1968 Chevy Camaro he restored with his father as a teenager, hiking the Pacific Crest Trial, practicing yoga, or running with his furry friend Bentley the boxer.
