Mariah Mudgett is joining Baxter Harder after recently graduating from Lewis & Clark Law School in May 2020. During law school Mariah had the opportunity to work in a variety of areas of law including criminal, tax, personal injury, social security, and more. She zealously advocated for low-income clients in negotiations with the IRS during her time at the Lewis & Clark Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Mariah also appeared in court in various matters such as Civil Commitment cases, Diversion Court, and Community Court while representing the State at the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office.
Prior to her legal endeavors, Mariah moved from Southern California to Oregon in 2011 to attend Oregon State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science. There Mariah played horse polo for the Oregon State Polo Club, a nationally ranked team. Mariah is an active equine and outdoor enthusiast. You may catch her on the polo field at Camp Fraley Ranch, hitting the slopes on Bachelor, or participating in various water activities in one of the many lakes or rivers Central Oregon has to offer.
